Donnie Secreast is a PhD candidate in the English department at Texas A&M University. Her research focuses on the intersections of ecocriticism and humor in 20th and 21st century literature. Donnie’s dissertation examines nature writing that uses grotesque humor to move beyond preconceived notions about environmental literature. Her scholarship on Sylvia Plath appears in Studies in the Novel and on Rachel Carson in Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment. She is literary co-editor for Artemis Journal.
